Easter

Happy Easter!
Today the boys and I dyed our Easter eggs. Daddy was at work so set to work covering our table with newspaper and mixing egg dye. I saw a new idea on Pinterest :). Instead of getting and egg dye kit we used 1 pkt of KoolAid + 2/3 cup water. It worked just as good as the kits do and we didn't have to deal with the stinky vinegar! I sent Andy to the store to buy the KoolAid and the selection was pretty poor so we did some experimenting to get some of the colors. I combined Mixed Berry with Orange to get the green color, We used a black cherry for the dark red color, Mixed Berry for blue, Strawberry for pink/red and Tropical Punch for red and of course Orange flavor for Orange. I also saw another idea online (not sure where, it may have been Pinterest) and we used a whisk-put the egg inside it to make it easier for James and Elliot to help dump the eggs into the dye. Both boys had lots of fun.
Since the table was already covered with newspaper we decided to do a little finger painting too. We like to use Crayola's fingerpaints that wash off super easy.
